As part of Work Package 2, the Egyptian trainers who previously participated in the Soft Skills Training in October, engaged in a Job Shadowing project within German classrooms and educational centers. This immersive experience aimed to familiarize them with the German education system, particularly the dual vocational education and training (VET) system, facilitate knowledge exchange, and provide insights into various educational institutions and practices.
Visits to the International High School in Niederwürschnitz and Meerane as well as the International Primary School Glauchau of Saxony International School – Carl Hahn provided firsthand insights into the educational environment, allowing trainers to observe classroom dynamics and teaching methods in action. A Meeting at the SIS headquarters facilitated valuable discussions on the German educational system and soft skills training.
Exploring the August Horch Museum in Zwickau offered a glimpse into Germany’s rich automotive history, providing historical context and appreciation for innovation in the automotive industry. A City tour in Zwickau further enriched the cultural experience, allowing trainers to immerse themselves in the local landscape and heritage.
Tours through the workshops of the Bildungs-Werkstatt Chemnitz showcased the practical aspects of vocational training, giving trainers a deeper understanding of the hands-on approach to learning in Germany. Additionally, presentations of the digital handbook by Egyptian trainers underscored their contributions to the project, highlighting their expertise and insights.
Overall, the Job Shadowing experience provided Egyptian trainers with a comprehensive understanding of the German education system, fostering cross-cultural exchange and collaboration in vocational education and training.
